Overview

Grand Marco Seafood stands out as a premier seafood dining destination nestled in the bustling neighborhood of Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. Conveniently located at Jalan Boulevard Raya Blok QA 3 No. 21, this restaurant invites both seafood enthusiasts and casual diners seeking a fresh, flavorful escape from the city’s fast pace.

Upon entering, you are greeted with a clean and inviting ambiance that reflects a balance of simplicity and comfort. The restaurant’s space accommodates groups and families alike, making it ideal for gatherings that celebrate both everyday meals and special occasions. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness add to the experience without overwhelming the relaxed atmosphere.

Grand Marco Seafood’s menu is a treasure trove of Indonesian and Nyonya-inspired seafood dishes that showcase meticulous preparation and vibrant local flavors. The ikan steam nyonya emerges as a signature dish, lauded for its delicate balance of aromatic spices and tender flesh. The kerang saos padang and kepiting asam manis deliver bold, hearty flavors that are generous in portion, perfect for sharing. The cumi goreng tepung rempah offers a crispy, juicy bite with a fragrant blend of spices, while the udang rebus and udang telur asin highlight the restaurant’s ability to let simple seafood shine.

Complementing the seafood are thoughtfully curated vegetable dishes such as kangkung terasi and sayur asam, which add a refreshing nutritional balance to the meal. Unique offerings like the kimchun tofu and tahu isi seafood provide creative twists that intrigue and delight.

Patrons frequently praise the affordability and value, with many noting that the generous portions and quality of fresh seafood exceed expectations for a reasonable price. Seafood freshness is a clear priority, reinforced by occasional special discounts on live catches, enhancing both taste and experience.

While most dishes hit their mark flavor-wise, there are occasional hits and misses, such as the ikan bakar kecap which some find lacking in sauce intensity, and a variant of fuyunghai that diverges from traditional versions. Yet these do little to overshadow the overall positive dining impression.

Grand Marco Seafood’s target audience ranges from families and friends seeking fulfilling communal meals to seafood aficionados wanting to explore Indonesian coastal flavors with a hint of Nyonya heritage. This restaurant delivers a well-rounded experience—reliable, inviting, and richly flavored—making it a compelling choice for those in Jakarta craving authentic seafood fare.

Ikan kuah Nyonya is the STAR must try when visiting Marco! I’m not a fan of steamed fish but this one was BOMB. The spices was very good. Their kepiting saos padang was also good. Generous portion. Ikan bakar kecap not my favorite, fish tasted bland, sauce was too little. Fuyunghai was a shock, not your typical fuyunghai, it came out like a very thin omelette & no sauce at all. Place was clean.

Food were great with reasonable price All of this dishes + 2 plates of rice and 2 drinks cost me less than 400k Food came almost all together. Taste wise was more on the sweeter side (or maybe it's just the sauces that i chose) But overall good and def will come back

I really like their prawns and fish, it was fresh and undoubtedly scrumptious. I love all of their sambal also. It has 3 variants, from not too spicy to the spicy ones. One thing to take note.. I also ordered the crab, and asked it to be cooked in a saus-padang style, and the sauce was too watery and not so spicy as how a saus-padang should be, and the crab itself was not sweet (well usually, a fresh crab will provide a sweet taste and kind of expecting that...)
